Bailout!

looking to the RightBailout is what you do when your airplane is on fire.  It's not what you do to guarantee the profits of a few wealthy Americans at the expense of taxpayers.  Welcome to the Socialist Republic of America!  When a small business fails (indeed, when many small businesses fail) today's so-called conservatives (read Republicans) calmly say, "That's market economics - you know, some make it, some don't..."  When big-time campaign-contributing corporations fail, these same Republicans turn all rosy colored liberal and go for the socialistic solution.  Bailout!

Less Bush, More Conservative

Sample ImageWhen was the last time any real conservative said, "Let's use taxes to make sure companies make a profit." Duh!   That's not a conservative value.  It's not consistent with any conservative value.  It is a George Bush Republican value just like the rest of the corporate welfare big spending ideas that have drained the Treasury of The United States at the hands of George and Dick.  Republicans can't call themselves conservatives as long as they continue to support socialist give away programs like this bailout.  Real conservatives I know don't support transfers of wealth, especially through the tax system.  This bailout is just that and it had to be a Republican (not conservative) proposing it.

The Democrats Love It!

Sample ImageOf course the Democrats are in love with the George Bush Wall Street bailout proposal.  It plays right into their hands.  Democrats get to support big business (which will result in political contributions) while complaining that Republicans are throwing tax money away (which is true).  They can complain that there are not enough controls, but still let the money flow.  It's nearly a trillion dollars!  That's up there with what the Bush Administration has managed to funnel to Halliburton.

Democrats abroad the like it too.  Well, what I mean is, all our trading partners like it.  It supports their banks as well as ours.  They don't have to do anything.  They can just sit back and spend our (taxpayer) money.  What a deal!

This bailout plan is as bad as it gets.  It's straight forward proof that there is nothing about this Administration and the Republicans that is conservative.  Conservatives are on their own to fend for themselves in the pool with the 2 big sharks.  It is just so very disappointing that the biggest shark of all calls itself conservative, but we can see the teeth through that nasty smirk.
